Focusing Us and You on Evangelism

The purpose of the HBC NewsTeam is to keep evangelism a high priority for both us on the team and for the rest of the body of Heritage Bible Chapel (HBC). Though other HBC ministries do also already have an evangelism focus, we want to augment that focus as well as be instrumental in connecting the Gospel and the church to new people they do not already reach. The team focuses itself on evangelism through monthly team meetings where we encourage each other in our evangelism efforts/encounters, spend time in evangelistic prayer, and plan evangelism events/projects (which eventually come to fruition). We try to focus the rest of the HBC body on evangelism through offering small group evangelism training and inviting them to help our efforts (whether by joining the team or participating in our events/projects). We also strive to make the NewsTeam members available to other people in the church to guide/equip/train them towards more evangelism focus in their regular everyday lives and other HBC ministries.
